Ch. 4 & Close Reading:
There were a wide variety of cultures and religions across Eurasia around 500 B.C.E. These cultures, traditions, and religions allowed for people to connect with the Earth, growing foods, animals, ancestors, Gods, and others. The main religions people followed in China was Confucianism and Daoism. In India, Hinduism was the common religion. Later came Christianity and Islam in the middle east and Israel, which came from the idea of Judaism form the Jewish. A tradition in Greece also came along, following the well known thinkers known as Socrates and Aristotle. The Chinese and Greeks traditions allowed them to connect more with the Earth and the Indians, Persians, and Jewish people's religion allowed for them to connect with God. The religions and other things they looked up to were much more higher in power. It provided social stability and order in the world.
The article "Serving is different from Helping and Fixing," main idea is that serving is a forced task while helping and fixing is something you go out of your way for to make others who are unequal to you, more equal.
I like that you shared about all the different religions and cultures for China, India, and the Greeks. I also agree with your main idea for the article "Serving is different from Helping and Fixing."
